Partners of the Rozetka marketplace, whose products were stored under the fulfillment system at the distribution center in Brovary destroyed by Russian shelling, announced the company’s refusal to pay compensation for the destroyed goods, the lack of inventory documents, and the continued charging of fees for parcel storage and processing services.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am being denied compensation according to the contract, the company continues to debit my account with payment for the storage of the destroyed goods, as well as for the processing and delivery of parcels that burned down. We were not provided with any documents – neither product reconciliation reports nor a certificate from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry. My applications for compensation and claims are being openly ignored,” entrepreneur Anna Getmanchuk reported in the thematic community “Entrepreneurs-Owners of Small Businesses” on Facebook.<\/p>\n
She added that at a meeting with the affected entrepreneurs, company representatives stated that there were no funds for payments, and the long inventory of product residues blocks the return of the surviving goods and leads to the writing off of funds to a negative balance. In total, according to the entrepreneur, more than 7 thousand units of goods of her production were destroyed in the warehouse.<\/p>\n
As reported, in August, as a result of a combined Russian strike, the automated Rozetka warehouse complex in Brovary worth $70 million was completely destroyed, which processed 100 thousand orders per day and had 92 employees at the time of the attack. The company’s co-founder Iryna Chechotkina noted at the time that due to the loss of the facility, the retailer was forced to lay off some of the more than 1 thousand warehouse employees, accelerate the transformation of the business model with a decrease in the share of its own sales in favor of the development of the marketplace, and rely solely on its own forces for recovery.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
