The prices of vegetables (+32%), fruits (+49%), as well as meat and dairy products have increased the most, which significantly affects the overall expenses of Ukrainian families.<\/p>\n<p>This was stated by Yuriy Lupenko, director of the National Scientific Center &#8220;Institute of Agrarian Economics&#8221;, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Scientists have calculated the average cost of a traditional New Year&#8217;s table for a family of four.<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, such a table will cost 3,594.05 UAH. If you take into account delicacies, the amount increases to 4,333.05 UAH, which is 27.3% more than last year. The main components of the holiday menu are salads, meat and fish products, vegetables, fruits, bread, drinks and desserts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salads<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Olivier (3 kg):<br \/>\ncost \u2013 384.41 UAH (+17.7%);<br \/>\nthe most expensive ingredient \u2013 \u200b\u200bsausage: 160 UAH for 0.5 kg (+11.1%);<br \/>\nother components: eggs (+35.4%), green peas (+24.6%), potatoes (+70%), carrots (+98.7%), onions (+5.7%).<\/p>\n<p>Herring under a fur coat (1.57 kg):<br \/>\ncost \u2013 168.19 UAH (+21.9%);<br \/>\nmain ingredients: herring (119 UAH for 0.5 kg), mayonnaise (25.88 UAH), beets (+22%), carrots and potatoes (price increase more than 2 times).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meat and fish<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In general, the cost of meat products increased by 13.4%:<br \/>\nraw-smoked sausage \u2013 334 UAH for 350 g (+19%);<br \/>\nchicken fillet \u2013 174 UAH for 1 kg (+9%);<br \/>\nherring \u2013 119 UAH for 0.5 kg.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Vegetables<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In 2025, the cost of vegetables increased by 32%:<br \/>\npotatoes (2 kg) \u2013 65 UAH (+70%);<br \/>\nchampignons \u2013 157 UAH for 1 kg (+15%);<br \/>\nfresh cucumbers \u2013 55 UAH for 0.5 kg (+22%).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fruits<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fruits increased in price by 49%:<br \/>\ntangerines (2 kg) \u2013 177 UAH.<br \/>\nbananas (1 kg) \u2013 62 UAH.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Drinks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>champagne &#8220;Artemivske&#8221; \u2013 209 UAH per bottle (+17%);<br \/>\nbrandy &#8220;Shabo&#8221; \u2013 263 UAH per 0.5 l (+25%);<br \/>\nsoft drinks (juices, mineral water) \u2013 110.95 UAH (+7.3%).<\/p>\n<p>Lovers of delicacies will have to spend even more. A jar of red caviar (100 g) will cost an average of 420 UAH, and 180 g of red fish \u2013 319 UAH. Due to high prices, most Ukrainians will be forced to cut expenses.
