Ukraine’s total public (direct and guaranteed) debt in March compared to the previous month increased by 1.56%, or $2.64 billion, to $171.73 billion. This is stated in the data of the Ministry of Finance, Ukrainian News Agency reports.<\/p>\n
Public and state-guaranteed debt at the end of March amounted to 7,123.25 billion hryvnias, or $171.73 billion, against 7,019.53 billion hryvnias, or $169.09 billion, a month earlier.<\/p>\n
The total amount of direct public debt as of the reporting date amounted to 6,852.22 billion hryvnias (165.2 billion dollars) against 6,740.16 billion hryvnias (162.36 billion dollars) a month earlier. At the same time, direct external debt increased from $118.05 billion to $120.94 billion during the month.<\/p>\n
Direct domestic debt decreased in hryvnia equivalent from 1,839.62 billion hryvnias to 1,835.65 billion hryvnias (in dollar equivalent – from 44.31 billion dollars to 44.26 billion dollars).
\nState-guaranteed debt at the end of the reporting month amounted to 271.03 billion hryvnias, or 6.753 billion dollars.
\nUkraine’s total public (direct and guaranteed) debt in 2024 increased by 14.27%, or 20.74 billion dollars, to 166.06 billion dollars.<\/p>\n
As Ukrainian News Agency reported, Ukraine’s total public (direct and guaranteed) debt in 2023 increased by 30.4%, or 33.87 billion dollars, to a record 145.32 billion dollars.<\/p>\n
In 2022, the total national debt increased by $13.39 billion, or 13.66%, to $111.34 billion.
