Two thousand sellers became sole proprietors thanks to the State Tax Service’s control over transfers

The State Tax Service’s inspection of money transactions for the receipt and transfer of systematic large sums forced almost 2 thousand citizens to register their business activities. As Delo.ua writes, this was reported by the press service of the State Tax Service.

In 2025, the tax service sent over 6 thousand requests to taxpayers to clarify the origin of the funds received. Currently, the territorial bodies of the State Tax Service are processing another mass of information, focusing on those who received regular or large money transfers.

For example, in September, one of the citizens received over 60 transfers for the amount of more than 280 thousand hryvnias, and another – in October over 700 transfers for almost 300 thousand hryvnias. Each such case is considered in detail, with an emphasis on signs of systematicity, which is one of the main signs of entrepreneurial activity.

Thanks to these measures, almost 2 thousand citizens have already registered as individual entrepreneurs (IEPs), legalizing their activities. At the same time, more than a hundred administrative protocols have been drawn up for engaging in entrepreneurial activity without state registration. The inspection materials have been sent to the court for consideration at the place of commission of the offenses. The efforts of the tax authorities are aimed at maximally stimulating the declaration of income and ensuring fair conditions for doing business.

Recall that the launch of the automated tax debt collection system has already allowed the budget to return more than 100 million hryvnias from legal entities. This amount was collected from more than 2 thousand debtor enterprises in just two months of the system’s operation.
