The PFU explained how to confirm insurance experience if the work book is lost

The Pension Fund of Ukraine reminded that the loss of a work book is not a reason for refusing to count insurance experience. Thanks to the transition to electronic accounting, most data on work activity is stored in digital format, so information can be restored without complicated procedures.

The main document confirming experience today is information from the Register of Insured Persons. It contains data on the payment of the Social Security Contribution by the employer, and an extract can be obtained online – via the PFU portal or the “Diya” application.

If certain periods of work are not reflected in the electronic register, they can be confirmed by additional documents. Among them: archival certificates, orders on hiring or dismissal, employee ID cards, information on salary accrual, copies of employment contracts. In the event of liquidation of the enterprise, it is necessary to contact the state archives, where personnel documents are stored.

The PFU clarifies that witness statements can only be taken into account for periods of work before 2004, when personalized accounting did not yet exist.
