“Naftogaz”, preparing for the heating season, has already accumulated more than 10 billion cubic meters of gas in gas storages. Oleksiy Chernyshov, head of Naftogaz Ukrainy JSC, stated this, RBC-Ukraine reports with a link to his Facebook.
“Over 10 billion cubic meters of gas have already been accumulated in Ukrainian gas storages. This means that preparations for winter are proceeding according to plan,” Chernyshov noted.
According to him, the main goal of “Naftogaz”, as last year, is to provide Ukraine’s gas needs without resorting to imports.
As a reminder, Ukraine passed the heating season of 2023-2024 without importing gas from Europe. According to the Memorandum with the IMF, imports will not be needed this year either.
According to experts’ estimates, PSG can realistically accumulate 13-14 billion cubic meters of gas, and such volumes should be enough to last the next heating season.
