Starting from the new year, individual entrepreneurs will pay more taxes

On Monday, September 15, the draft budget for 2026 was published on the website of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. For the first time since 2024, the draft provides for an increase in the minimum wage and the subsistence minimum. This will directly affect the amount of taxes paid by individual entrepreneurs. What taxes will be from 2026, tax consultant Mykhailo Smokovich told in his Telegram channel.

What will be the minimum wage in 2026

The draft budget for 2026 proposes to increase the minimum wage to 8,647 UAH from January 1 instead of 8,000 UAH now. The subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons from January 1, 2026 should be 3,328 UAH instead of 3,028 UAH.

How will the change in the minimum wage affect the amount of taxes for individual entrepreneurs

If the Verkhovna Rada approves the 2026 budget with the proposed minimum wage and subsistence minimum, individual entrepreneurs will pay more in single tax, military levy, and single social contribution next year.

The single tax per month will be as follows:

for individual entrepreneurs of group I – UAH 332.8;

for individual entrepreneurs of group II – UAH 1,729.4.

Military levy for individual entrepreneurs of groups I and II will be UAH 864.7 per month instead of UAH 800.

The single social contribution, which is 22% of the minimum wage, will be UAH 1,902.34 for all groups of individual entrepreneurs in 2026 instead of UAH 1,760.

What else will change with the increase in the minimum wage

The annual income limits of individual entrepreneurs also depend on the amount of the minimum wage. They are set as of January 1 of the year and remain unchanged throughout the year.

Provided that the minimum wage increases, the income limits of individual entrepreneurs in 2026 will be as follows:

Group I – UAH 1,444,049;

Group II – UAH 7,211,598;

Group III – UAH 10,091,049.

Let us remind you that other accruals also depend on the amount of the minimum wage, for example, payments of sick leave, maternity leave, some fines, etc. The minimum wage also affects the amount of pensions and their indexation, scholarships for students, payments of state benefits, etc.
