Customs revealed violations worth UAH 2.9 billion in the first four months of 2025

In January-April 2025, Ukrainian customs authorities recorded 3,288 cases of violations of customs rules. The total value of the detected violations is almost UAH 2.9 billion, official sources report. This was reported by the State Customs Service of Ukraine.

In 1,222 cases, temporary seizure of objects of offenses was carried out in the amount of UAH 306.5 million. The largest share is accounted for by industrial goods – UAH 169.6 million. The seized vehicles are estimated at UAH 108.2 million, food products – UAH 26.6 million, and currency – UAH 2.2 million.

Customs authorities applied administrative penalties in the form of fines in 608 cases (including those initiated in previous periods) in the amount of UAH 17.3 million. UAH 18.1 million has already been collected from the state budget, taking into account cases that were considered earlier.

Judicial statistics also demonstrate significant volumes of violations. Customs authorities have submitted 1,921 cases of customs violations to the courts for consideration, amounting to almost UAH 2.4 billion. Courts have already imposed penalties in the form of confiscation of goods and fines in the amount of UAH 1.9 billion, taking into account cases from previous periods.
