The state property fund will again try to sell the Belgorod-Dniester port

This month, the State Property Fund of Ukraine plans to announce another auction for the sale of the Belgorod-Dniester sea trade port. This was announced in Telegram by the head of the FSMU Vitaliy Koval, reports Ukrinform.

“Our goal is to prepare the port for successful privatization, which we plan to announce already this month. After all, this is the key to its modernization, creation of new jobs and economic development of the entire region,” said Koval during a visit to the enterprise on the occasion of the professional holiday of sea and river transport workers.

The head of the FSMU emphasized that, as of today, the enterprise managed to keep personnel and equipment and main facilities in working condition.

Koval reminded that the capacity of the Bilhorod-Dniester port is capable of processing hundreds of thousands of tons of various products annually. The company specializes in transshipment of a wide range of materials, including forest cargo, mineral fertilizers, iron ore pellets, metal products and grain crops. In addition, the capacities of the port allow efficient work with lumber, various wood products, meal and oil.

“This diversity opens up wide opportunities for a potential investor. With proper management and investments, the port can significantly increase transshipment volumes and expand the range of services, becoming a budget-generating enterprise for the city and the entire region,” he added.

As reported, the first auction for the sale of the single property complex of SE “Bilhorod-Dniester Sea Trade Port”, scheduled for March 3, 2023, did not take place due to a lack of applications. During the re-auction, the price of the asset increased to UAH 220 million from the initial UAH 93.7 million, but the winner did not pay for the purchased object.

On March 21, 2024, the FSMU announced another auction for the sale of the port with a starting price of UAH 183.9 million. The auction was canceled due to the lack of applications from participants.
