Commercial activities of Telegram channels must comply with current legislation.
The Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine responded to information in the public space about possible violations of current legislation by Telegram channels with a million-strong audience, Chroniclers reports.
In particular, detectives of the Main Unit of Detectives of the BEB have launched a pre-trial investigation into alleged violations of tax and financial legislation.
“Telegram channels that conduct commercial activities are subject to the legislation of Ukraine and are obliged to declare income and pay taxes. The rules are the same for everyone — regardless of the platform, audience or format of activity,” the message says.
