Poroshenko’s Bank through the court achieved the cancellation of the NBU’s warning regarding financial monitoring violations

An international investment bank has successfully obtained through the court the cancellation of the National Bank’s warning regarding financial monitoring violations. This is stated in the NBU’s statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In February 2025, the National Bank applied a written warning to the mentioned bank for violating a number of requirements. On December 18 of the same year, the Kyiv District Administrative Court declared the regulator’s decision unlawful and canceled it. On June 30, 2026, the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal upheld this decision.

The NBU reports that it disagrees with the court’s decision and will appeal it in cassation within the time limit specified by law.

As Ukrainian News Agency reported, Petro Poroshenko owns 64.98% of the shares of the International Investment Bank through PJSC “ZNKIF “Prime Assets Capital”.

On February 12, 2025, the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) imposed sanctions against Poroshenko, as well as businessmen Ihor Kolomoisky, Gennady Bogolyubov, and Konstantin Zhevago, a former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, the godfather of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, Viktor Medvedchuk. After that, the National Bank announced that it may deprive Poroshenko of influence over the International Investment Bank. In November 2025, the National Bank banned Petro Poroshenko from voting for his almost 65% shares in the International Investment Bank.
