Hetmantsev called for decriminalization of adult content production in Ukraine

The head of the Verkhovna Rada Finance Committee, Danylo Getmantsev, has spoken out in favor of decriminalizing the production of adult content in Ukraine. According to him, the state cannot simultaneously collect taxes from creators of erotic content and at the same time prosecute them for it.

Getmantsev emphasized that it is necessary to be consistent and honest — either support legal activity or stop prosecuting it. He also drew attention to cases of “control purchases,” which he called unacceptable.

He made this position public by supporting the petition of the OnlyFans model, who claims that she has paid more than 40 million hryvnias in taxes over five years of work, but criminal proceedings were opened against her under Article 301 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. According to the woman, law enforcement officers allegedly offered to close the case for a bribe.

The petition calls on President Volodymyr Zelensky to support Bill No. 12191, which provides for the decriminalization of the import, storage, manufacture, shipment, and sale of pornographic products for adults.

We previously wrote that the model of the OnlyFans platform Svitlana Dvornikova created a petition on the website of the President of Ukraine with a request to abolish criminal liability for pornographic activities.

We remind you that the OnlyFans service was put up for sale for $8 billion. Investors from the United States want to buy the business.
