Law enforcement officers searched the home of former Minister of Infrastructure Kubrakov

Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation came to search the former Minister of Community, Territorial and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov. Sources told RBC-Ukraine about this.

As the interlocutors told the publication, investigative actions are being carried out at Kubrakov’s house in the case of alleged fraudulent actions of People’s Deputy Yevheniy Shevchenko, who is suspected of high treason.

According to sources, Shevchenko is suspected of defrauding entrepreneurs of 14.5 million hryvnias under the pretext of allegedly purchasing fertilizers in Belarus. The interlocutors said that the searches began today, July 11 in the morning.

Kubrakov reacted to the information about the searches at his house. He stated that he had nothing to do with “neither Shevchenko, nor Belarus, nor the purchases of fertilizers or any other frauds.”

“Our last contact (with Shevchenko – ed.) took place before the full-scale invasion. He turned to me as a people’s deputy to the Minister of Infrastructure…After February 22, I knew about Shevchenko’s life exclusively from the press,” claims Kubrakov.

He also assured that he would provide law enforcement officers with access to all necessary materials.

Recall that in May 2024, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Kubrakov from the post of Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine. In the Cabinet of Ministers, from the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine, he dealt with the issue of organizing exports in conditions of blocked ports, then participated in ensuring the grain corridor. However, he remained in the ministerial position without working for 2 years. After which Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that he had appointed Kubrakov as his advisor on a voluntary basis.

Let us add that, as for People’s Deputy Shevchenko, according to the investigation, he systematically spread Russian narratives in his speeches and interviews. He also spread information on social networks that could harm Ukraine, thereby helping the Russian Federation. He is currently in custody.
