Ukraine is able to go through the heating season without power outages if Russia does not launch massive attacks on the energy sector. Ukrenergo noted that the system is preparing for winter, but the situation will depend on the intensity of the attacks and the speed of restoration.
The company emphasized that this year it was possible to restore part of the damaged generation and networks, as well as connect new distributed generation facilities. In particular, the increase in electricity from gas turbine and gas piston plants since the beginning of 2025 has exceeded 200%.
Also, while world leaders are trying to start peace talks, the energy war between Ukraine and Russia is reaching a new peak.
