Ukraine launches automatic business selection system for scheduled inspections

Ukraine is launching a system that will automatically identify enterprises for scheduled inspections in 85 areas, from occupational safety to ecology. To this end, the government has adopted a resolution on the introduction of a risk management module in the state supervision system.

The new module will assess the risk level of each enterprise according to certain criteria and form a rating for scheduled inspections. Thanks to this, regulatory authorities will focus on companies with a high level of risk, while honest businesses will be inspected less often.

Inspection plans will be formed automatically and published in the public domain – this should ensure transparency of the process and minimize the human factor.

Previously, inspection plans were formed manually: inspectors independently selected enterprises based on their own experience, complaints or random selection.

Important: the system will operate only within the framework of state supervision and does not apply to tax or law enforcement inspections, as well as to the financial sector, customs and market supervision.

Plans and results of inspections will become available on the website of the State Regulatory Service and on the open data portal after the end of martial law.
