There are 14 days left until the end of September, and during this time Ukrainians in Germany must check their accounts in Ukrainian banks and, if necessary, report them to the relevant services. This is reported by UAPortal.
From the end of September, Germany will begin to receive data on Ukrainians’ bank accounts within the framework of the international CRS (Common Reporting Standard) standard. Information from Ukrainian banks will automatically be sent to the German tax authorities (Finanzamt) and social services.
The following data will be transmitted:
passport data, place of residence, date of birth;
tax numbers – TIN and Steuer-ID;
IBAN of accounts;
account balances and income: interest, dividends, etc.
Those who receive social assistance – Bürgergeld, AsylbLG or other payments should be especially careful. They are obliged to independently notify the Jobcenter or Sozialamt about the presence of accounts or deposits in Ukraine and provide the relevant statements. If the services find out about the accounts on their own, they may consider it as concealment of assets and fraud. In this case, you will have to return the payments already received and pay a fine.
