From July 1, 2025, the Pension Fund of Ukraine officially began a new era in the field of social security: now it administers most of the state benefits that were previously under the control of social protection bodies. This decision is part of an ambitious reform aimed at simplifying citizens’ access to state support and making the system more convenient and transparent.
Citizens will not have to resubmit documents – all current payments will be continued automatically. And submitting new applications is now possible not only in service centers, but also online – through the PFU portal or application.
Special attention is paid to low-income families: as part of a pilot project, the state is introducing basic social assistance, where the first family member will receive UAH 4,500 per month.
