Ukraine now has the official status of a country that can exchange electronic phytosanitary certificates using the international ePhyto system at the level of the USA, Canada, EU countries, and Australia.
This was announced by the head of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection, Serhiy Tkachuk, on Facebook.
According to him, this will open up new prospects for Ukrainian producers, simplify trade procedures, and make the certification system more transparent and effective, in particular:
makes it impossible to forge phytosanitary certificates;
prevents unauthorized imports of plant products.
“In addition, this increases the status of our country as a reliable partner for the export of agricultural products,” Tkachuk added.
