The European Solidarity Party proposes to introduce an economic resilience package to support Ukrainian business in difficult times, which would include military risk insurance, affordable financing for recovery after Russian attacks, a moratorium on forceful pressure and inspections, protection of logistics hubs and critical warehouses, export support programs, and predictable rules for entrepreneurs, the leader of the political force, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, announced.
“Exports have been stopped, which is significantly deepening the crisis. Part of Ukrainian business today is definitely not talking about development. People are talking about how to survive and not go bankrupt. After Russian strikes on warehouses and trade infrastructure in some cities, supply disruptions are occurring. And this is definitely not just an economic issue. Because a warehouse with products is today the same element of the state’s stability as a power plant… During a war, business does not need inspectors from the state, not additional checks for paying taxes. It needs protection: – insurance against war risks, access to financing, protection by the state of critical logistics, a moratorium on pointless inspections and forceful pressure from security forces, support for exports, mechanisms for the rapid restoration of enterprises after Russian attacks,” Poroshenko said in a video address on Monday.
According to him, “this is the wartime economy – not an economy in which the state commands business, but an economy in which the state takes its hands off the throats of those who fill the budget and finance the army.”
The leader of “Eurosolidarity” also reported that the economic sustainability plan is part of the action plan that will be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada. The plan also provides for programs to protect the lives of citizens, a budget priority for financing the army and defense, the development of military technologies, a map of the country’s energy sustainability, European integration and the introduction of government responsibility.
“European Solidarity” is ready to support every decision that gives more weapons to the army, more opportunities for Ukrainian manufacturers, more protection for business, more independence of justice and leads Ukraine to the European Union faster. We will definitely not vote for corruption, new barriers for entrepreneurs, bureaucratic arbitrariness or another budget attraction of populism. “A country that is fighting for survival cannot afford an inefficient state,” Poroshenko said.
